Jennifer Garner, who was born in and was raised within Charleston West Virginia, on April 17, 1973 was born in Houston, Texas. William John Garner was her father, and was a chemical engineer at Union Carbide. Patricia Ann, her mother taught at a local college. She graduated with a degree in chemical engineering, aiming to imitate her father. She moved into New York in order to fulfill her ambitions as an actor.
