She then moved to Minnesota and was made a part of Drop Dead Gorgeous, a mock documentarian film about beauty contests. After her screen debut that was successful where she played an unfriendly, but obnoxious contestant, Janet relocating from Minnesota to Los Angeles where she began a professional acting career.
