Amy Lou Adams, full name Amy Lou Adams (born 20 August 1974 Aviano Italy), American actress. Amy Lou Adams is famous as a naive character who are fun and loved by critics. Adams was raised in Italy and her father was in the U.S. military and she spent her childhood at Castle Rock Colorado as one of seven kids. Around the middle of the 1990s, she began dance and performing professionally through Colorado's Dinner Theatre and the Country Dinner Playhouse in Colorado. She then moved to Minnesota where she was a cast member in Drop Dead Gorgeous, a mock documentary film about beauty contests. After moving to Los Angeles, she pursued an acting career after her film debut where she played a dizzy, but cheerful contestant. Her husband was the actor Tony Curtis from June 1951 until September 1962, and was the mother of Kelly Curtis and Jamie Lee Curtis. After being discovered by the actress Norma Shearer Leigh secured a contract with MGM and began her film career in mid- to late 1940s. She appeared in several popular movies in the subsequent decade like Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (1960) as well as Living It Up (a Martin and Lewis-film from 1954).
