Amy Lou Adams, full name Amy Lou Adams (born 20 August 1974, in Aviano Italy), American actress. She is known for playing naive characters who have a charming appeal and are loved by reviewers. Adams is born in Italy while her father served as a soldier in the U.S. military and she grew up within Castle Rock Colorado as one of seven children. Around the middle of the 1990s, she began professional dancing and acting with The Boulder Dinner Theatre and the Country Dinner Playhouse in Colorado. Following her move to Minnesota in the mid-1990s, she participated in a documentary mock-up on beauty contests called Drop Dead Gorgeous (1998). Then, in Los Angeles, she pursued an acting career after her debut film in which she played a dizzy, but pleasant contestant.
